Intimate northern Utah at home birth

Being a Northern Utah Birth Photographer is holding such a special place in my heart these days! I was just months away from meeting my second baby when I got called in to come photograph Aspens birth experience. Wanting an unmedicated birth center birth myself, I was so excited to observe and learn from Aspen, but I definitely didn’t realize how much it would impact me.

Aspen was the picture of grace and calm as she welcomed her new baby into the world. She breathed through her contractions with ease (as it seemed from an outsider’s perspective). Watching her gave me all the confidence I needed to know that I was built to birth and that I could have the peaceful unmedicated experience I knew I wanted for my second baby.

I’m so honored to have been here for this experience and that I got to take these special photos. Bringing life into this world is SO COOL.
